The Person Behind the Camera
For several years now, I have been a passionate nature photographer, spending nearly every free moment outdoors with my camera by my side. My love for nature began in childhood, shaped by my mother, who taught me to appreciate its small wonders. I still remember her words about a single flower in the garden: “This alone makes it worth getting up in the morning.” That sense of wonder has stayed with me and continues to guide my work today. I spent countless hours in gardens and forests, and this deep connection to nature remains one of the greatest gifts of my life.

After finishing school, I became a flight attendant – a career that allowed me to discover the world at a time when air travel still felt truly exotic. A few years later, my son was born. Following in my mother’s footsteps, I tried to nurture in him the same love and respect for the natural world.

When I met my second husband, a camera also entered my life. At first, I used it without much thought, but soon I felt the urge to truly master the craft. Through self-study and an online masterclass with a renowned nature photographer, I not only built a solid technical foundation but also discovered the artistic side of photography. Just as nature is constantly changing, my photographic journey continues to evolve, always opening new paths of exploration.

So what fascinates me most about nature photography? It is the harmony of many different elements. Technical skills matter, of course, but they are not my main focus. What drives me is the act of exploring nature, observing its inhabitants, and pausing to appreciate fleeting moments. It is the balance between frustration and the sudden rush of adrenaline when something extraordinary unfolds. Photography, for me, is a way to tell stories without words – to capture what the eye might miss, to reveal hidden beauty, to give attention to details that would otherwise go unnoticed. This is what makes nature photography so meaningful to me.

Spending time in nature brings me peace and calm – even at night, deep in the forest, I feel completely safe. This may be surprising, as I am naturally a rather anxious person, but nature has taught me trust and serenity.

I photograph all around the world, and there is always something new to discover. Choosing favorite subjects is difficult, but I have always loved otters – perhaps because they are curious, intelligent, and playful. I also feel a special bond with the wildlife near my home: squirrels visiting our balcony, foxes hunting in the fields, grebes courting on the lakes, and hares chasing one another across spring meadows during their “hare weddings.” And of course, many more.

I warmly welcome you to get in touch – whether for inspiration, collaborations, private workshops, or if you are interested in purchasing my work. I look forward to connecting with you.
